Pack Dues

Dues for Pack 125 are based on an academic year calendar, starting in August. Annual dues for Pack 125 are as follows:

$140 for returning Scouts in Kindergarten through 4th grade
$100 for returning 5th grade Scouts
New scouts pay the above amount plus an additional $25 one-time fee

These dues cover most materials for the Scout. The Pack dues will not cover neckerchief/slide for new Scouts, the blue or khaki button-up shirt, and hat/belt. The hat is not required and the belt is technically not, but useful for awards. Pack dues will cover the Scout’s dues to the Council ($72 per year, prorated amount for Scouts who join in the fall), neckerchief and slide for returning Scouts, Scout awards, the Scout Handbook, and several Pack activities.

Transfer Scouts and Scouts who join outside of fall recruiting dates may receive alternate payment plans and schedules. Those will be discussed by Pack leadership and a mutually agreeable solution will be sought.

Annual dues of $140 will need to be paid in full or using an agreed upon payment schedule to allow for fundraising opportunities. This will allow Scouting families the opportunity to participate in popcorn sales to assist with those balances (popcorn sales run from August to October). Returning Scouts must have a popcorn balance from the previous year in order to not pay dues using the same payment schedule outlined above. Dues not in good standing may lead to the Scout being unable to participate in any activities which have an associated cost and suspension of awards until that Scout account is brought into good standing.

Popcorn sales occur in the fall from August to October. Your Scout has the opportunity to generate funds that will cover the cost of Pack dues and can be earmarked for the Scout for other activities such as camping or overnight trips. Funds raised by the Scout cannot be used to cover the cost of family members during Pack activities. Popcorn sales also provide rewards directly to the Scout.

Funds are not transferable to other non-sibling Scouts or units (for example, a Boy Scout Troop) that are chartered outside of St. Anthony’s Marie de Claret Catholic Church. Funds earmarked for a particular Scout (sometimes called “Scout Account”) hold no cash value outside of Pack 125 Scouting activities. If your Scout drops out of Cub Scouts, these earmarked funds have no cash value and cannot be recovered.

The Pack 125 Treasurer will attempt to collect on all past-due accounts via any reasonable means available. This includes but is not limited to direct mail, e-mail, phone, personal visit, and 3rd party collection agency. Please be completely assured that it is not the goal or intent to turn accounts over to collection agencies, but we will not hesitate when amiable attempts at collection are completely ignored.
